Things are happening quickly at Gracie Coos County, so we are switching from a monthly update to a weekly newsletter. This will help us keep everyone current on upcoming events, competitions, schedule changes, the move into our new location, and everything else happening around the academy.
August is the final month of our summer schedule, and we started it strong with the two-day Eddie Grant MMA Seminar this past weekend. It was a fun, information-packed two days, and we appreciate everyone who came out and trained.
A special thank-you to Eddie Grant and his boys for making the trip to share some invaluable knowledge with us. We are very appreciative of the time, experience, and effort they put into the weekend.

Monday Intro Rotation
Our Monday Intro classes continue throughout August:
August 3: Intro to Gi Jiu Jitsu with Coach TJ
August 10: Intro to Takedowns with Coach Nate
With a baby on the way, this class may be reassigned if needed.
August 17: Intro to Boxing with Coach Justin
August 24: Intro to Kickboxing with Coach Justin
August 31: Intro to MMA with Coach TJ
These classes are designed to give members a focused introduction to each area of training and help newer students build a strong foundation.
Oregon Open Competition Preparation
While the C4 Fight Team prepares for Brawl on the Bay, our Jiu Jitsu competition team is also beginning preparation for next month’s SUBLEAGUE Oregon Open Jiu Jitsu competition.
Anyone planning to compete should be ready to sharpen up their training, clean up the small details, and put in focused work throughout August.
More information about competition training and registration will be shared as we get closer.
Looking Ahead to September
September will bring some major changes to Gracie Coos County.
We will begin moving classes into our new location, and our fall schedule will officially begin. Daytime classes will return, the Intro program will return, and the Women’s Only class will be extended to a full hour.
We will continue sharing updates as the new location gets closer to opening and the class transition begins.
Digital Dojo V2
Digital Dojo V2 officially launches September 1.
Founding Members will receive early access later this month, giving them the first opportunity to explore the updated platform before the full release.
